Great cutting and a lovely piece of timber.  Is that a coin inset into the handle?

Rob

Rob, it's one of the Colt Medalion that is on Colt Pistols.

Here is a picture of the medalion

This is a better picture of what the medalion has on it.

Nicely done Larry, the medallion really sets it off. If you ever cut more of this pattern, why not try using a different color of wood for the grip section? Just a thought.

Len

Len, I agree on diff wood color would have added to the looks.

I did experimenting trying to add the crisscross pattern... would have added much too much time to do it right.

Did not think of off-setting wood color

With all the coatings you've used on this firearm I'll bet it really looks like high polished steel! Each and every project you  do is top notch ,up to par and better than it has to be.Your cribbage boards left an impression in me of a perfectionist dream.Your little towns ,stage coaches all the same never ending strive for perfectionism .Your run in with scroll saws I'm sure was no coincident,It was made to be! Keep your work coming!;)

Nice work!

The anti-gun nuts will still condemn it though!

We need to follow Switzerland's gun laws!

I'll buy that argument when all US citizens have to serve a stint in our military, like Swiss citizens do. And while most Swiss citizens are armed,

by the government, they don't keep the ammunition, just the issued firearm.

I prefer you not refer to me as a "nut". I think the 'nuts' are the ones who kill people in schools and churches.
