Popular Post Dave Monk Posted March 6, 2016 Popular Post Report Posted March 6, 2016 About two months ago I made this plaque for my son and daughter in law. After sitting around our house for about a month my wife noticed that I put the wrong year in it. Talk about a brain fart. Instead of throwing it in the trash I decided that I would try to salvage it. I put a little creativity to work. By inlaying a piece of walnut I was able to make the repair. It would have been faster to cut a whole new plaque but I would have missed out on the challenge. I was very pleased with the outcome. I think I like the design of the repaired one more than the original. dave WolfyPete, amazingkevin, Lucky2 and 10 others 13 Quote

DWSUDEKUM Posted March 6, 2016 Report Posted March 6, 2016 This is what I love about our skills set. By doing the repair in another wood that is an opposing color to the main piece, it sets off the date quite nicely. Well done! Thanks for sharing this with us. DW Dave Monk and keefie 2 Quote
