About two months ago I made this plaque for my son and daughter in law. After sitting around our house for about a month my wife noticed that I put the wrong year in it. Talk about a brain fart. Instead of throwing it in the trash I decided that I would try to salvage it. I put a little creativity to work. By inlaying a piece of walnut I was able to make the repair. It would have been faster to cut a whole new plaque but I would have missed out on the  challenge. I was very pleased with the outcome. I think I like the design of the repaired one more than the original. dave

Wow what a save.  Yes I agree it does look better.  But I must ask, How did you mess up a one with a nine, thats eight years difference??????????????????
