Denny Knappen Posted March 8, 2016 Report Posted March 8, 2016 (edited) This is a pattern by our own DonR purchased from his site, thanks Don. This was a tough pattern as there are more than 200 holes. I enlarged the pattern by 10% to cut on 1/4" Baltic Birch plywood 10" x 12" with FD New Spiral #3 blades. I used one coat of tung oil finish and two coats of spray shellac. The backing is a black mat and of course framed at our store, ArtCrafters, Comments welcome. Denny Knappen Posted March 8, 2016 Author Report Posted March 8, 2016 Thanks Dan. I bought three of DonR's patterns. I have the German Shepard yet to complete. Quote
Rob Posted March 8, 2016 Report Posted March 8, 2016 Great job. I'm not sure I have the patience, let alone skill to attempt something like that. Rob Quote
Denny Knappen Posted March 8, 2016 Author Report Posted March 8, 2016 Give it a try. As for patience, work one hole at a time and soon you will be finished. GrampaJim 1 Quote

Denny Knappen Posted March 8, 2016 Author Report Posted March 8, 2016 Looking at the title, I left off a 'e'. This is not a 'mut'. Quote
Ron Johnson Posted March 8, 2016 Report Posted March 8, 2016 Nicely cut portrait of of one of Don R. fine patterns. Frame sets it off perfect. Well done Denny. Quote
trackman Posted March 9, 2016 Report Posted March 9, 2016 If I can add my 2 cents worth. This is just me but I think it would look better with the dog all the way over to the right of the frame to look like it was coming out of the frame and not floating in air. Nice pattern and cutting! Quote
Denny Knappen Posted March 9, 2016 Author Report Posted March 9, 2016 Actually that is a great thought (worth more than 2 cents). I can't move this one as it is 10" x 12" and I made the frame to fit. When I do another, I will use your idea. Quote
Lucky2 Posted March 9, 2016 Report Posted March 9, 2016 Denny, that is a very impressive cutting, it's definitely one to be proud of. Len Quote

wombatie Posted March 9, 2016 Report Posted March 9, 2016 This is one of those patterns that only another scroller can appreciate how much work actually went into it. You did a very impressive job Denny, pat yourself on the back. Marg Quote
daveww1 Posted March 9, 2016 Report Posted March 9, 2016 terrific job, great job on the cutting Quote
