Ron Johnson
Can't go wrong on price. And operating ... well, you REALLY can't go wrong. With a little maintenance and polish you should have a decent backup. Great find Kevin. Please post an update photo after you have it looking like new ... Lucky2
Kevin, do you really need it? If not, it's just more clutter. These single speed saws are a dime a dozen, and they don't work all that well. Sorry, but sometimes you just got to know when to keep walking on bye. rjR
That was a good price; if you have the room for it! Some of these can be speed controlled by a separate speed controller that you plug the cord into. H-F has/had the controllers for about $15 the last one that I bought! It was not compatible with my belt-sander motor and we ended up using it on some outside lights! Get a "if it doesn't work; I can return it " promise when you purchase it. I use one on a rojter all the time.

lawson56
Kevin you are a lucky man.I came close to buying a Delta,But I was wanting a bigger table.I heard they are pretty good saws.Good Luck with your new find.
stoney
Yea Kevin I'm a sucker for a bargain too. A saw like that would be good for projects with no internal cuts like intarcia, or segmentation. I have a old Craftsman scroll saw for backup I picked up at a garage sale for $20.00 and it runs good. CharleyL
Kevin, I believe you made a great find, if you need a door stop. In my opinion, those aren't worth using for much more that a door stop in that condition. Certainly not worth the effort to make it run like new again, because even when new they weren't very good saws. Charley

Alexander Helbich
Ahhh! Lucky! I keep looking online for scroll saws around where I am. Smaller town, so not so much choices when it comes to used items that are this rare to find online. Keeping an eye out for a pinless one! I wanna try more fretwork. Charley Purrs like a kitten ,the rust will get covered up with formica,wd 4 everything else ,wipe it down and ready for work. Her grandma bought it and never used it.It is missing the two part blade changing tool though.
