breadstick
Finished this for a going away present for a co-worker. Walnut backer, beech bottom layer, and the rest is a fence picket I planed down. Could have done better with the stain. I need to make a stand for this and the Steelers helmet we're giving him. Pattern from scrollsawartist.com. Edited April 5, 2016 by breadstick vykus, New Guy, amazingkevin and 5 others
penquin
That is super looking. Wow what a bunch of work in it. Love the depth it seems to have with the multi layers. Great job. jim penquin

rdatelle
WOW, great job on that. There's a lot of work in that piece.
breadstick
Thanks, everyone. It really wasn't as difficult as it looks. Backer and bottom layer are both one piece each. The holes in the spine/back piece and the scales (maybe that's what they are) were done with spirals, so that was tremendously easier. breadstick
Can you tell me where the pattern came from? Sorry about that. Should have mentioned it above. It's from scrollsawartist.com. They also have the same pattern, but in two layers so it's easier to do.
