Stephanie
Just wondering what wooodworking magazine subscriptions you have and if you think they are worth paying for?
Lucky2
I use to have six mags that I subscribed to, now, I don't have any. I dropped the last one a couple of months ago, I finally realized that they were full of nothing but advertisements. dgman
I don't subscribe to any magazines but I would recommend Wood Magazine for general woodworking and Scrollsaw Woodworking and crafts for great scroll saw projects and patterns. danny
WayneMahler
I still subscribe to Scrollsaw Woodworking and Crafts. Not sure I will renew it though. I dropped all my others because all advertising . Dan had it right about wood magazine, decent all around magazine.

Ron Johnson
No magazine subscriptions. I now cherry pick what I want at a retail outlet. Scrolling Steve
oldhudson
I've been a subscriber to Woodsmith from issue one and the same with Wood. I also get Fine Woodworking and finally Scroll Saw Woodworking and Craft. They're not always great and yeah there can be a boat load of adds but I usually get some ideas or inspirations and frankly I just enjoy them. don in brooklin on
I subscribe to Scroll Saw Workshop. Have every issue either hard copy or on DVD. I bought issues 1 - 48 on DVD. Love the mag that way as I have it all indexed. Wish all there mags were on DVD. I also read Fine Working each issue as our club subscribes. Scrolling Steve
I am trying to decide if i am going to renew my SSW&C.........Like it but, I like Ron's approach.
NC Scroller
I get SSW&C. While I find there maybe be an issue from time to time that I find nothing of interest other issues have several projects I like. For me I find in the long run it cheaper to subscribe then buy single issues. Another reason for me to subscribe is the subscription copy is at my home 3-4 weeks earlier than they are in the stores. To me that is very important especially since I do a couple of very profitable Christmas craft fairs.
Denny Knappen
I also subscribe to SWWC. I have all copies either hard copy or on DVD. I usually find one or two projects interesting.

dgman
Monti, Scrollsaw Woodworking and Crafts used to be called Scrollsaw Workshop. Currently, Scrollsaw Workshop is Steve Good's blog and community forum.

don in brooklin on
Can you tell me, where I can find that, Don? have googled all over the place, but no dice! Not easy to find with Fox Chappel but this the link to volume 1 There are 4 volumes each volume has 12 issues. They are currently working on 49 -60 http://www.foxchapelpublishing.com/scroll-saw-woodworking-crafts-archive-cd-volume-
NC Scroller
On the Fox Chapel site the CD is called an archive. Anyway the fellow link takes you to where you can buy the archive CD's.http://www.foxchapelpublishing.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=archive NOTE: that web page also has the archive CD for their carving magazine. stoney
Pretty much stopped taking magazine subscriptions. It started to really bug me that not only was half or more of the connected content advertising, but they started adding loose advertising that would fall in your lap or on the floor. Really!! Also I have received magazines and not found anything of value for me. You defiantly pay more at retailers but at least you can peruse the magazine and see if it has enough value for your money. amazingkevin and GrampaJim
