amazingkevin
My daughter is working for the rights of the ranger that had the government come in and take away their land and then lease it to the Russian for uranium mining. You may remember that some out of state ranchers came in to protest this wrong incident and one was shot down in cold blood, If you followed this you are aware of all the wrong things the FBI and BLM people did, including after the killing a woman had gathered information and was about to bring charges against the governments actions and was suddenly found dead in her kitchen of, 'natural causes'. She asked me to donate some things for her demonstrations and so i started with this one Dick heppnerguy Lets hope this helps to keep the ball rolling! heppnerguy
heppnerguy
Dick, Looks awesome! What type of paint did you use. dave I used color colors, applied with my new air brush. I have a long way to go to where I understand much about it but I probably will be using it as often as I see a place to. I will not learn it, if I do not experiment with it. heppnerguy
awesome job Dick I know far too well what you are talking about.... that is however as far as I will go in an open forum I know what you mean, After I made my post, I felt this might not be the place to do so. I was wondering if any one would object. If I did not agree with anothers point of view on something like this, I doubt I would say anything but I might not agree that this is the place to post it.. My apology to anyone I might have offended. I will go back now and edit it out..I love everyone on this site and I do not want to be an agitator on it. jerry1939
What I find awesome about this site & the people is the different directions people take in their niche. As an example, I don't have a desire to sell any of my pieces. They are given as gifts to Family, Friends, a Church group that Visits the Grieving, Depressed, Lonely to give them something to briefly take their minds off of their troubles. Recently I took the pictured item to a Retirement Center. I asked the Activity Director earlier who to give it to. We ended up having a lovely visit with a 100 year old Lady whose mind is still better than mine ever was. The "Jesus" font was Los Banditos. She kept running her arthritic fingers over the letters in admiration. Her deceased husband was a Baptist Minister. She told us that she enjoys writing & sending cards. She asked for our names & address, so I will probably have a new 100 year old pen pal. Darn hard to put a value or price on all that. PLEASE don't get the impression that I'M telling any of you great people how to do things!!! I find it wonderful that each person here goes their own direction. That's how it should be. jerry Edited April 28, 2016 by jerry1939

heppnerguy
A beautiful piece to donate. Is it going to be an auction or outright purchase? Denny, I am not sure if it is going to be used as an auction or a drawing of just to sell. It is not my program. I will be sending a few more items to help them out some. i think my daughter said they are doing 4 or 5 events so i will be donating something for every event too Dick heppnerguy

That's how it should be. jerry Jerry, I am with you, at least part of the way. I do not do craft shows but I do sell on my Facebook page. That pays for my supplies without making work out of the 'fun' and enjoyment I get from scrolling. I only sell what I want to sell. I also donate several pieces every year to charity groups in Heppner, where I live. I also make plaque for people I know have a new baby or someone who looses a spouse or family members. I also make intarsia angels for people who are struggling with a health problem to, hopefully, give them a little comfort knowing that others care about them. I make most of the gifts we give at Christmas, birthdays, graduations, weddings, funerals and other occasions. I am so glad that I discovered that I can do this kind of thing, for that very reason Dick heppnerguy
