MTCowpoke22 Posted May 3, 2016 Report Posted May 3, 2016 My most recent accomplishment was this Calvary Intarsia. Its the first project where I designed the pattern, from a pencil drawing of an unknown artist. I used pine, oak, and dark walnut for the intarsia, and Russian olive for the background. The colors are wood dyes. Lucky2, wombatie, Ninuninu and 3 others 6 Quote

Lucky2 Posted May 4, 2016 Report Posted May 4, 2016 Tim, this is definitely a piece to be proud of, it looks fantastic. You did an exceptional job on the choices of wood you used, and the natural edge backer really adds to the piece. Len MTCowpoke22 1 Quote

Ron Johnson Posted May 4, 2016 Report Posted May 4, 2016 This is one amazing works of art that I've seen for awhile. I mean Tim you designed this intarsia project from a pencil drawing, chose a nice selection of woods and applying colors to a few. Not to mention terrific cutting. No question, a show piece and a keeper. Need I say more. MTCowpoke22 1 Quote

You've brought to light a question I've tossed around in my head for a while.how to do heads or faces in intarsia's.The way you did these is perfect in every way. You've an eye for details and are a master in your field .Keep your work coming,it's a real pleasure to see quality like this.!
