Holding hands...grandson

I made this project using someone else's pattern (sorry I don't remember where I got it). I just added the lettering. My grandson calls me "Nono", which is an Italian version of Grandfather (it's a long story). I'm thinking of cutting out a space for a photograph just below the lettering, toward the left side. There is room for an oval opening there. What do you all think?

Kris, I like the idea of adding a picture to the cutting, but, who is the picture going to be of? You, your grandson, or both of you?Plus, is there enough room for a large enough picture? Adding a picture that is to small wouldn't be good, it could ruin the look of the cutting. I'm very interested in seeing what you come up with in the end, so, please post a pic of the finshed product.

I decided to cut as large a space as possible and add a photo. Oval shape was the best fit. After all this, I am now cutting another one for my grandson's other (maternal) grandfather. On his, I will squeeze the lettering to make more room for a larger photo. I'm going to give it to my daughter-in-law so she can give it to her father for Father's Day.

Thank you all for your kind and helpful comments. I love this group. You are all so supportive.
