Denny Knappen Posted May 17, 2016 Report Posted May 17, 2016 I made this on Monday, May 16th, while the other project was drying. This Wall Pocket was designed by Sue Mey and purchased from her site. I used 1/8" Walnut and two pieces of 3/4" Aspen glued together for the sides. It measure 7 1/2" high and 1 3/4" deep. Sue suggest using Air Plants, but there are other uses. My wife, Dianne suggests dried flowers. Comments welcome. amazingkevin, Scrolling Steve, lawson56 and 1 other 4 Quote

Denny Knappen Posted May 17, 2016 Author Report Posted May 17, 2016 Thanks Tony. Not even sure how to display it. Right now it is just hanging on the lattice backdrop. Quote
DWSUDEKUM Posted May 17, 2016 Report Posted May 17, 2016 So THAT is what those are called. That came out great Denny. I agree with your wife on the dried flowers. A good arrangement in there would look great. Thanks for sharing this with us. DW Quote

Phantom Scroller Posted May 18, 2016 Report Posted May 18, 2016 Ok Denny you just need to scroll some flowers to go in it now to finish it off. Roly Quote
wombatie Posted May 18, 2016 Report Posted May 18, 2016 You did a great job Denny. You can get some very nice silk flowers, they would work too. Marg Quote

RangerJay Posted May 18, 2016 Report Posted May 18, 2016 What a great looking project and an even greater idea! My wife is always after me for my "collection" of mail, papers and dog treat bags on the floor around my chair. This idea - expanded a bit (maybe quite a bit) - would help clean up the floor, contribute to domestic harmony ..... and would look good too boot!! Thanks for the inspiration! Jay Quote
Denny Knappen Posted May 18, 2016 Author Report Posted May 18, 2016 Everyone has great ideas. Jay, you would have to enlarge it quite a bit to fit your ideas. Quote
penquin Posted May 18, 2016 Report Posted May 18, 2016 Looks great, good spot for all kinds of things. Thanks for showing it to us. jim penquin Quote
Denny Knappen Posted May 19, 2016 Author Report Posted May 19, 2016 At one time I made several Heart and Flowers by Diana Thompson. I tink the flowers were dogwoods. They might work in the Wall Pocket. Quote
