Wall Pocket

I made this on Monday, May 16th, while the other project was drying.  This Wall Pocket was designed by Sue Mey and purchased from her site.  I used 1/8" Walnut and two pieces of 3/4" Aspen glued together for the sides.  It measure 7 1/2" high and 1 3/4" deep.  Sue suggest using Air Plants, but there are other uses.  My wife, Dianne suggests dried flowers.  Comments welcome.

So THAT is what those are called.  That came out great Denny.  I agree with your wife on the dried flowers.  A good arrangement in there would look great.  Thanks for sharing this with us.

What a great looking project and an even greater idea!

 

My wife is always after me for my "collection" of mail, papers and dog treat bags on the floor around my chair.  This idea - expanded a bit (maybe quite a bit) - would help clean up the floor, contribute to domestic harmony ..... and would look good too boot!!

At one time I made several Heart and Flowers by Diana Thompson.  I tink the flowers were dogwoods.  They might work in the Wall Pocket.
