jerry1939
Hi All, Me again. Please do yourselves a favor. Don't ever think about using "building a clock" and "sale price" in the same sentence. Fantasy and reality are not to be confused. Only build an elaborate clock if you intend to have it passed on to future generations. Personally, I build a custom crate for transporting mine, as it will be moved over the (years)(decades). jerry TripleJScroller
TripleJScroller
Jerry, I really like the idea of a custom crate for for future transportation. I think I'm going to use that idea when I finally get around to building my clock. Thanks for the idea.
MrsN
I love the idea of making a fancy clock, but I have no idea what I would do with it so I keep putting it off. Edited May 23, 2016 by MrsN
CharleyL
My wife has forbidden me from making, and keeping, one of these large scroll saw clocks. She wants no part of trying to clean anything like them. I made a dragon clock some years ago, and managed to get him into the house. He's still there too, but it's my job to take him out to the shop and use compressed air to dust him off every month. About once a year I also use cotton swabs to clean his scale holes. Here's a photo of him. I call him "The Keeper of Time". The pattern came from a scroll saw magazine Charley Edited May 31, 2016 by CharleyL
