bandaideman
I noticed the New Jet scrollsaw EXish stule saw. Just crious if anyone had actually seen it and test drove. I use a Ex-21 and a Dewalt so not looking to put $899.99 into another one. Just for future reference after the bugs are out of it. the throat is 22 " and the blade holders are different may be better not sure otherwise it is like the EX line. I found price on the Jet web site.

Jim Finn
I have two Hegners and a 15" Jet scroll saw. I use one as much as the other. My Jet is still going strong and it was made in 1988. I have changed out the blade clamps to Hegner clamps. Mine has an induction motor and is single speed. I did not know that Jet scroll saws were still being made. WayneMahler
Steve Good just wrote about this in his blog.Pictures look like it shares a lot in common with the EX . Don't seem to be a lot of info out about it.

Tom J
I watched a video about it and it has a lot of the EX features. The bottom blade clamp however is a little adapter that you have to remove from the saw to install a blade. This may be OK for those that bottom feed but for me I would be a pain as I always top feed. I'll stick with my EX-21 thanks. Tom

I have a Hegner and do not like to have to do this no matter what I'm cutting. I like my Ex more also.
Scrolling Steve
It does appear to share a lot of EX features....priced about the same....Love my EX !
Jim Finn
I had put one of Hegner's quickclamps on the lower arm of my Hegner and one on the upper arm, to make it a top feeder but I am too used to being a bottom feeder so I took it off and put it on my old 15"Jet. MrsN
I watched a video on the Jet. The concern I have with it is the big slot in the table. Lots of places for delicate pieces to catch and break. The opening also looks bigger so that small pieces might require a secondary table to be supported at all.
CharleyL
I don't like the slot or the bottom clamp design, so my next saw is still going to be an EX. They would have been very smart to put a few heavy scroll sawyers on their design team. Things like this would have never made it into their product if they did.
