scrimper
I recently bought a video camera (only a cheap one) and attempted to make some scrollsaw videos, they are probably a bit boring to most people but I wondered if it is acceptable to put the links to them on here (is it allowed?) and whether anyone is interested in having a look? If anyone is interested and it is allowed on the forum I will post the links later. Thanks

scrimper
Have a look and see what you think, comments and advice will be most welcome. Afraid the first video starts a little abruptly, the reason is that I was in the process of cutting when I bought the camcorder and thought I would try it out, I never intended to put it on youtube but it seems ok so I gave it a go!Ist video https://youtu.be/taIAQ25XQcY2nd video https://youtu.be/ldWZP-qvA-o3rd video https://youtu.be/nKKrvhuW5ls4th video https://youtu.be/3tOvvSSkzvc5th video https://youtu.be/ffxuNUsa1146th video https://youtu.be/xh0IaUQLRVQ7th video https://youtu.be/dbQTl0kt1Johttps://youtu.be/oVfNYFFSmjA Edited June 7, 2016 by scrimper Falcon, amazingkevin, Travis and 2 others
Kepy
Very enjoyable. Some things done differently but I was really impressed with the blade tightening system.
JustLarry
Bring them on. I saw your video on "a way of making up small panels for fretwork/woodwork if you don't have any clamps at hand" at UK workshop site and it is outstanding. I will be using that video at one of our upcoming woodworkers meetings. And I will have me a set up like that made very soon. Larry

Rob
I enjoyed these too Larry. Thanks for taking the time to do them. I bought a second hand Diamond saw on Ebay while still in the UK but had to sell it to save space in our container when we emigrated to New Zealand. I have been kicking myself ever since! scrimper
Just a little confused? The videos listed above are all my own work, my name is not Larry? Has Larry done some similar videos?
JustLarry
Hope I can clear up the confusion. I do not have any videos posted. The post I made (#7 above) was in reference to video that scrimper has posted on the UK site. It is not my video. All comments and such go to scrimper. Lucky2
Not bad John, not to bad at all. I just watched the first one, I'll watch the others a little later on. I enjoyed watching it, and I am looking forward to viewing the others. That is a beautiful dog in your avatar, he's a real looker. German Shepards are my favorite bred, and I would have one or two if it wasn't for their hip problems. I owned one years ago, and it just about tore my heart out when I had to have him put down. His hips were the problem, they were so bad that he could hardly walk. Len

Len Sorry to have to say this but that beautiful German shepherd in my avatar only has a few weeks left to live, 4 weeks ago we took him to a vet with watering eyes the vet diagnosed aggressive cancer in his windpipe eye and lungs with no hope of any cure, we are just spoiling him in his last few days, it is quite heartbreaking. he is a rescue dog and only about 6 or 7. WayneMahler
Nice videos and beautiful dog. Sorry to hear about his health though. Tough losing a family member. I love German Shepherds, just don't have enough room for them to run and get proper exercise. So I have to Pembroke Welsh Corgis.
Scrappile
Very sorry to read about your dog. Sad times. I liked you videos. You so a good job of it. My feelings are not as strong as yours for the Hegner though. No doubt it is a workhorse, but i wish they would modernize it some and come up with a clamp system does not require a tool, and a upper arm that raises higher. If you ever get a chance to work on an Excalibur or DeWalt, you might think they are much more convenient. Coarse they will not last as long as the Hegner. Lucky2
John, that's heartbreaking news, I feel so sorry for you and your family. I know to well what your going through, I went through the same thing a few months ago with my little guy. Give him lots of love while you still can, your going to miss him like crazy. Take care.
