Old Joe Posted June 11, 2016 Report Posted June 11, 2016 This is my third Vase adapted from a Steve Good design. The outsides are African Padauk, the center is red oak sandwiched with 1/4" birch, allowing space for a glass test tube for cut flowers. I painted the center of the front piece of birch black behind the fretwork, along with the inner edges of the fretwork. This piece of Padauk was marked down at Woodcraft Supply because of some warpage and imperfections. I like he imperfections on the back. don watson 1 Quote

tmbits Posted June 19, 2016 Report Posted June 19, 2016 Stunning work! I'm trying so hard to find a place close to me that sells specialized wood for projects. Its not that easy here. As for the "imperfections" that's what makes it PERFECT and one of a kind for sure! Beautiful work! Tim Quote
