Standing Miniature Birdhouses

Denny Knappen

Recommended Posts

Last week someone came into ArtCrafters and bought the only Miniature Birdhouse that can stand.  She asked if I had more.  I purchased the set of eight from Diana Thompson's website and made four of the eight this past weekend.  I used Aromatic Red Cedar for the houses and Yellowheart for the birds.  I also used FD Polar #7 blades.  These are a fun easy compound cut.  Comments welcome.

Denny, they came out good. I did about 40 of them but none standing. Don and Tim, give them a try. I felt the same way when I first started cutting them but it's easier that you think. Just take your time and like Denny said, tape the side you cut before you cut the other side.
