Denny Knappen
Last week someone came into ArtCrafters and bought the only Miniature Birdhouse that can stand. She asked if I had more. I purchased the set of eight from Diana Thompson's website and made four of the eight this past weekend. I used Aromatic Red Cedar for the houses and Yellowheart for the birds. I also used FD Polar #7 blades. These are a fun easy compound cut. Comments welcome. Fab4, Falcon, don watson and 2 others

tmbits
Very nice! I really want to try this type of scrolling but frankly, I find it rather intimidating. Beautifully done!
Denny Knappen
Tim, go for it. Compound cutting is easy. One secret is after cutting the first side, wrap tightly so the fallout does not move. Then cut the other side.
don watson
I like the look of these bird houses. I don't know if I can manage compound cutting.

rdatelle
Denny, they came out good. I did about 40 of them but none standing. Don and Tim, give them a try. I felt the same way when I first started cutting them but it's easier that you think. Just take your time and like Denny said, tape the side you cut before you cut the other side. Lucky2
Nicely done Denny, standing, that's a very unique way to present them. Len

Denny Knappen
Thanks, Jim, yes I found them on Diana's website. $5.95 for the set of eight patterns. As a follow up, one sold today at ArtCrafters and I gave one to my wife, Dianne. Now only two left on the display.
