Rob
I recently finished this plaque for my nieces wedding. Snowdrop Trivet and finally a business card holder for my upcoming craft fair. Pattern is by Steve Good. All cut from reclaimed rimu as usual and finished with BLO. Rob lawson56, Fab4 and New Guy

Len @Len I didn't keep a note of them but I think the surname Brougham is URW Bookman and the first names are Ave Fedan. Rob

Rob
@Dan, Rimu is a native New Zealand timber that was used extensively for furniture and house construction. I buy broken old furniture or drawer boxes from our local recycling centre for most of my work and sometimes get lucky with beautiful pieces like this 4 foot by 1 foot board which I picked up for $1 NZ or 70cents US. I cut one of my Tui plaques from it and have enough leftover to make another couple. Wikipedia has more information on Rimu here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dacrydium_cupressinum and Google images has lots of pictures too.
