Alexander Helbich Posted June 17, 2016 Report Posted June 17, 2016 Guys! http://online.rapidresizer.com/photograph-to-pattern.php This website went into "payment" form and no longer free, from what I can tell. I loved that site! Any new ones out there? Quote

don watson Posted June 17, 2016 Report Posted June 17, 2016 Steve uses SiteLock and it is malware free. I have no problems connecting to it. Quote
Old Joe Posted June 17, 2016 Report Posted June 17, 2016 I've had no such issues on Steve's site. Quote
Scrappile Posted June 17, 2016 Report Posted June 17, 2016 I just looked a Steve's site and it looked to me that stencil pattern is also Rapid Resizer. Least he mentioned it on his home page. Quote
Scrappile Posted June 17, 2016 Report Posted June 17, 2016 (edited) sorry, I guess I stutter. Posted twice some how. Edited June 17, 2016 by Scrappile Quote
Travis Posted June 17, 2016 Report Posted June 17, 2016 I'll agree. Steve's site doesn't have Malware, Adware, Spyware or anything of the sort. As far as ads; yes, he has ads. Just like SSV has ads or any other person who runs a free website. It's how we pay the bills for servers, web domains, and software licenses. If he didn't have money coming in from Google Ads, he couldn't do what he does for our community. Free doesn't come cheap. fastfreddy, Dave Monk and WayneMahler 3 Quote
dgman Posted June 17, 2016 Report Posted June 17, 2016 "Free doesn't come cheap". Now that would make a great pattern! Actually from what I hear, the Rapid Resizer is free to resize patterns on Steve's site only. Quote
Alexander Helbich Posted June 18, 2016 Author Report Posted June 18, 2016 Must of clicked on an AD, AVG picked up a malware when trying to download something. Quote
Greenie Posted June 23, 2016 Report Posted June 23, 2016 I have never had a problem with Steve's site. I certainly don't mind seeing an ad every now and then to keep the content coming Quote
Alexander Helbich Posted June 23, 2016 Author Report Posted June 23, 2016 Im looking for a site that I can post my own picture and it will make a stencil out of it. There was one, but they changed it to payment. Quote
Scrappile Posted June 23, 2016 Report Posted June 23, 2016 I'm confused, I click on the link you posted and got to the site it says "Free Picture Stencil Maker"on the first line.. Quote
Alexander Helbich Posted June 24, 2016 Author Report Posted June 24, 2016 Are you able to input your own design!? Mine shows this. Nothing like it was a week or two ago. There used to be a place to upload your own picture Quote

Clear the cache and cookies from the browser, close it, then open and try again - chrome is kind of notorious for this, firefox not so much, IE is ... Quote
penquin Posted June 26, 2016 Report Posted June 26, 2016 Been using Rapid Resizer for years and love it. Yes you need to buy it but what the heck not everything is free. It is a one time charge and not that much so well worth it. Just my thought. I also buy patterns and offer to pay designers who make patterns for me. I figure I don't work for free so why should some else give it away. paying is part of doing business. If someone does something for free for you make sure you thank them and enjoy. Sorry for the lecture didn't mean to go on a rampage. jim penquin woodknots 1 Quote
Scrappile Posted June 26, 2016 Report Posted June 26, 2016 (edited) I have read some reviews and it was stated you can not reduce the size of an image, only enlarge. Is that true? I'm referring to the purchased software. I have a Mac. Edited June 26, 2016 by Scrappile Quote
amazingkevin Posted June 27, 2016 Report Posted June 27, 2016 This is in steve goods site freeScrollsaw Workshop: Stencil Printer 1.6 Release version. Quote
CharleyL Posted June 30, 2016 Report Posted June 30, 2016 AlexH, I just went to this site http://online.rapidresizer.com/photograph-to-pattern.php and it appears to work online free for me, although I didn't attempt to go all the way through it to actually printing a pattern. Maybe all the spyware in your PC is preventing it from working for you. I'm more comfortable with doing this on Photoshop, since I have many years of experience using it. Charley Quote
