Portable AC I bought last month helps, but only when I have it aimed right on my back as I'm cutting or oiling. It doesn't cool the overall temp in the shed, but it keeps me from sweating and that's good enough. I know an ac or heater cools or heats best at about half way up the wall.No sence cooling or heating any high than that.so i put the heater on the desk.If i could the ac would be 4' off the ground in the wall too. Temps in the 10's 1nd 20's MINUS do not feel any colder than the high humidity-- 30's cold; if they are low humidity. Yes, I have lived/worked in both!
