Fish Posted June 26, 2016 Report Share Posted June 26, 2016 I have been out for awhile working early shift and busy around the house. I'm on vacation for the next ten days. The Illinois State pattern is from Dave, thanks again. The Beatles is another from a drawing on Deviant Art by Lucene-k. She gave me permission to use her drawing to make the pattern. Thanks again Lucene-K. Gods gift is another I had finished for everyone. This walnut Tree of Life is actually a band saw pattern but I did all but the front and back of the two bottom drawers on my scroll saw. The others I had to do on my band saw. It was done from two pieces of walnut about 1 1/4" thick and is 6 1/4 X 6 1/4. The finish is mineral oil. The Angel is done from a pattern by Mahendra-thanks for the pattern, but I got to messing around with my dremel and used a diamond tip and did it on glass. Somebody's got a hot seat ,ants in their pants.No idle time in your shop.Must have finished the honey do list to get shop time like this.Your Beatle project is one i've never seen ,must be rare,illinois state a is very thought out one! The talent one hums in the back of my mind,All the tree of life ones are top shelve and this is the first glass etching i've seen ,well done.8 hits in a row! I got an idea from your Angel, to do something like that with a dark color of acrylic & a white backer. Thanks for letting us view them. The beetles of course look super, and the word plaque is very nice also. The Illinois State is great but I did go to SIU so was not a big fan of them. Just kidding.
