I've heard told, course I have never done it,,,,, but it is said to be possible to glue a piece in from the back, holding it with tweezers, using a small drop of medium thickness CA glue.  Not sure it works, but,,, ;)

But really most times a piece here, a piece there, no one will notice.

Cliff, sorry I'm a little late to respond but I agree with others the piece that broke off is not very noticeable.   If it really bothers you making a new cutting is probably your best bet.   That's probably  what I would do and either glue the broken piece in or smooth the area where it broke off and keep that one for myself.

Cliff,

I like it just the way it is. I also like the natural non finished applied look, due to the material it is cut on. I would give it to the party who ordered it. I would place a bet that they will be amazed and pleased with it just the way it is. If you feel a little bad about the outcome of your work here, due to the breakage, you might gift them another piece at a later date as a "thank you" for their previous order
