I have had t his pattern for quite awhile but never got around to cutting it until today. This is a free Sam Custodio pattern. I believe it might be a fun piece for those for the 2nd amendment rights people to have displayed in their houses. I cut this on 1/4 inch BB ply and added an extended backer board that I stained black to bring out the cut lines better. I have found, for me, that staining is way more practical than painting because it covers evenly, stains in about 2 minutes without the need to put a second c.oat on it..it also is a lot cheaper and does not have any odor to deal with. I cut the character with a number one flat end spiral and the rest of it with a number 3 double tooth blade. I am looking forward to cutting another Custodio pattern in the near future  I hope this is not seen as a political thing, as i just cut a pattern that I thought was kind of cute. I do not even own a hand gun. I live in a very small out of the way town where people ride horses and kids swim in the reservoir and clean up any clutter they may make.  I do not feel  I need a handgun. Just having fun with this one.

Cute cutting Dick, but, a very controversial message in some situations. Here in Canada the gun laws are much more strict, I wish they would lighten up a bit as I'd like to own a few hand guns of my own. I still could with the laws being what they are, but, what a person has to go through to get a permit is pure misery. Then if you buy the handgun, you have to get a special permit just to take it to the gun range. And even with the permit, you're only allowed to have the gun out for a certain amount of hours. It's a nightmare.

Lucky2 describes what they are trying to INFLICT here too!

Great Cut on an IMPORTANT issue!

GUNS do NOT COMMIT any crimes!  PEOPLE DO!--Trucks, railway sabotage, poisons, fires are all also means of mass crime! People cause those crimes TOO; not the implement used!

Kevin,

I did not use the  proxxon saw because it just won't cut 1/2 ply, for some unknown reason, so I used my DeWalt this time.
