Denny Knappen Posted August 2, 2016 Report Posted August 2, 2016 I completed these on Monday, August 1st. The patterns are by Judy Peterson and found in her book, Animal Puzzles for the Scroll Saw. I enlarged the Trotting Horse and Dolphin by 115% to fit my stock. The Trotting Horse is made from 3/4" Walnut, The Dolphin from 3/4" Ash, and the Squirrel from 3/4" Red Oak. Comments welcome. Phantom Scroller, Old Joe, GPscroller and 5 others 8 Quote

heppnerguy Posted August 3, 2016 Report Posted August 3, 2016 Nice puzzles, cut with excellent control. I have never made a stand alone puzzle. It might be fun to do one and see if I get any reaction from them. I too think the horse is exceptionally nice. Not just the wood but also the realist looking pattern Dick heppnerguy Quote
wombatie Posted August 3, 2016 Report Posted August 3, 2016 Graet looking puzzles Denny. Heres another vote for the horse. Marg Quote
danny Posted August 3, 2016 Report Posted August 3, 2016 Mighty Fine Looking Puzzles. Anyone would Love to have any of them. Yes your Horse does stand out above all. Very Good cutting. Just curious. What blade did you use? I ONLY use the FDUR#1 on most any woods up to 3/4".... Danny :+} Quote
rdatelle Posted August 3, 2016 Report Posted August 3, 2016 Denny, they look great. I'm looking for some small puzzle patterns to make for my kindergarten kids for when I go back to school on the 8th. Quote
Denny Knappen Posted August 3, 2016 Author Report Posted August 3, 2016 Thanks for all the nice comments. Looks like the horse is way ahead in the voting. Danny, I used FD Polar #5. It gives a great cut.but leaves a lot of fuzzies. No problem because I have a Sand Flee. Works great for removing fuzzies. Quote
