DIY SCROLL SAW

I just finish building a scroll saw see pic...One of first 3 project one was a heart for the wife and the house number all I have in it is a whole $6.00 included the drill use to power it

Very interesting build there Ed.  How is the vibration?  Have you tried any of the smaller blades such as blades smaller than a #3?  Just wondering.  I take my hat off to you on your build.  Thanks for sharing this with us.

Make a comfortable "nest" to work in. Light, chair, music, beer holder,  & what ever makes it comfortable for YOU!

 

A good source of blades is the link I have included. I actually know him and he is a good guy all the way.

He is also a saw-man and can give excellent advice too!

First of all it's not my design it's  Izzy Swan and Thom Stevens, yes I did redo the drive train here a video of my saw

and here the video that started

as for blades all I can say is the only blades I have is coping saw blades...1 pic is the drive train and the other is the blade holder

I can't say that I would have the ability to build my own scroll saw but you took the task head on and came out with something that you can use.. be interesting to see more of your work..and see how you feel about your saws performance as you go about using it
