Is it the same thing as the $20.CD?

No, it isn't.  It's a program that has the online pattern catalog in thumbnails.  You type in the name of the pattern you want and it gives you the URL for the pattern.  IMO it's easier to go online unless he's added patterns that are not on his website. Plus online I can hit the download button and see it bigger (getting old sucks).  To me, the program seems like it adds an extra step to get a pattern.

I believe that it can only be downloaded to a PC at this point in time. Not available for MAC.

I have a Mac and a Linux machine, and it works for me.  Steve explains it in the video. And I must say, what an incredible deal, Steve has been very consistent in his quality of free patterns.

I just downloaded it for my Mac after Steve sent me an email on how to do it. It's a little different setup than the windows one is but works great great. I think there's over 2000 p0atterns. Can't beat the price. I also have the cd's.

Where????  I always need more patterns.  hehehe

You can find what they are referencing to order it here: http://www.stevedgood.com/swpd/swpdorderpage.html

Here's where he talks about being able to accommodate Mac/Linux Users: http://scrollsawworkshop.blogspot.com/search?updated-max=2016-08-18T00%3A38%3A00-04%3A00&max-results=2#PageNo=5

You can see Steve's original announcement about the project here to "understand" what it is about:  http://scrollsawworkshop.blogspot.com/2016/08/watch-this-video-and-let-me-know-if-it.html

If you don't want to purchase his catalog initially you can look through his blog to see what he shares pretty much daily: http://scrollsawworkshop.blogspot.com

or if you don't want to spend the $3 to download his catalog you can still presently find it "online" here: http://stevedgood.com/catalog/
