Scrappile
Interesting, Every model that Seyco has listed is temporary out of stock. May the factory that makes then has a problem. Scrolling Steve
I noticed this on the Seyco site the other day, did not realize it was industry wide !
tgiro
Give Ray Seymore, at Seyco, a call. He probably knows more about Excaliburs than IM does. Lucky2
Lucky2
It could be just a case of supply and demand, there's a lot of people buying them. Len
rjweb
I also see that Ray is selling the jet saw too, RJ
tonylumps
I smell a Rat in a wood pile.I wander if Jet and Excalibur are the same company. There are Plenty of Jet saws for sale .Maybe they stopped production on the Excalibur to pump out the Jet.
Gonzo
It looks like acmetool.com has them in stock. That's where I bought mine. I had to return mine because of a warped and blemished table. They were very good at making sure that I was completely satisfied.
Rob
They are out of stock in New Zealand too. I was told there was a new model in the pipeline and an ETA of 2-3 months. That was a couple of months ago though and they are still out of stock. Rob
Debi Shipman
I just found this looking around. Whether it's true or not, who knows. You'd think they would let people know if there was a temporary lack of supply. (Not that I could ever afford one) http://www.woodtalkonline.com/topic/21216-no-more-excalibur-scroll-saws-in-the-near-future/ amazingkevin
Phantom Scroller
Probably holding them back for a re-market and price raise stick a new sticker on them and charge more. Not that I know what I'm talking about. lol Forester and bronx
Blaughn
I have been on the hunt for an Excalibur. I have been told they lost their factory in Asia. This is, unfortunately, a common occurrence. In Asia. Volume is everything. If a competitor or another machine-parts customer comes in with larger lot orders - the factory will take the order and squeeze out smaller players. Finding a new factory is a very slow and scary process. There are thousands who will say they can do the quality work you want but only a handful who can actually do it with consistency. Even after sorting out all of the chaff, you need to buy/develop new tooling, molds, fixtures and then begin the painstaking process of ensuring quality of raw materials, processes and final product. It is extremely slow, costly and filled with risks.

Montserrat
The excalibur is being sold as a Pegas in Germany / Europe now. Maybe they are changing brand names?
dgman
General the distributor of the EX saws has two divisions. General makes and sells equipment in Canada. General international buys equipment from the Far East, then sells them in North Americia. The maker of the saw, somewhere in Tiwan, sell these saws to other distributors across the Globe who then package them with their brand. This is common practice in the tool industry. That's why this blue tool looks just like that yellow tool with a different name. Edited September 7, 2016 by dgman
Dan&Wendy
I just looked at pics of the Jet saw. It looks an awful lot like the Excaliber. I have 2 Excalibers and very happy I have them.
NC Scroller
I just looked at pics of the Jet saw. It looks an awful lot like the Excaliber. I have 2 Excalibers and very happy I have them. They appear to be similar but the Jet is a bottom feed only. That is BIG in my book. Montserrat
After seeing the stuff I have been making on facebook, a friend of mine in California got herself an excalibur from seyco. Never unpacked it though. Now she is looking to sell. If anybody is interested I can give them her email address.
