Denny Knappen
As I was cutting this trivet, the EX 21 broke down and I had to finish it on the old DeWalt 788. It still works. The pattern is by Sue Mey and found in CWWC August 2013. I used 1/2" Hard Maple and FD UR #5 blades. It is approximately 7 1/2" in diameter. For the finish I used 50% BLO. Comments welcome. Denny Knappen
Paul, there is a connection between the top blade holder and the motor. The screw cracked. I am replacing the complete assembly per Ray's suggestion.
Denny Knappen
Delano, CWWC is short for the bankrupt magazine, 'Creative Woodworks and Crafts'. I have copies going back to 2007. BLO is also short for Boiled Linseed Oil. I mix it 50% with Mineral Spirits. Don't be sorry about asking good questions.
