This is my second attempt at this bird, better pleased with the results this time, made better looking legs & feet, gave the face a little color, added some eyes, also added some more tail feathers.......all cut with scroll saw and miter saw for the angles, table saw too to cut boards to width, used brad nailer, screws & glue to assemble, all made from rough cut cedar pickets found at your local HD.........5 layers.......10° cuts for the feathers......comments as always please......Hope I inspired you to try one of these for Fall that is fast approaching........

Put some meat on the bone,that poor Tom is as thin as a board,lol No matter what you dream up in your shop they take the cake with iceing too. i've got the brakes on around here for holidays.Always something else get my time.Good thing you have priority's ! This ones a fat a sassy one .Should bring a good buck at the market.Keep them coming !

Dan, I didn't see anything wrong with the first one you made, but, I'll take your word that this one looks better. I'm a bit surprised that you didn't leave the center tail feather longer, if it was longer it could be cut to a point to help the bird stand. Granted, you'd only want to do that if is was for outdoor use.
