Question about pattern making

I have really gotten in to this pattern making, but all I have done so far are portraits. I have a picture of a 41 willys which happens to be the best car ever made IMHO I was wanting to make a pattern of it, But I don't know where I got the picture. I know I downloaded it about a year ago, so how can I find out whether or not I can use it? Thanks Harvey

My suggestion would be to find the picture on the internet again and then write to the website that has it to get permission to use it. There are a couple of pics in Wikimedia but they are street rods.

I use Flikr to find some images. Just check the license terms on the pictures you're using. It'll usually tell you if you can use it or not.

Another source is hubgarage.com Fantastic source for any vehicle you can imagine. Easy to contact the owner of the vehicle. There is also artwork to get inspirations from.
