danny
I am in the middle of making the single car garage into at least a Winter Work Shop. Primarily Scrolling. Have a Hegner 18" and I want to build a STURDY toll around table for it. I know there are plans out there and building one is pretty simple....BUT.... I just LOVE to read others adventures with this. Yes? Thanks in Advance.................Danny :+}
LarryEA
Danny, I just don't know what a scroll saw table is. I built a bench for a Delta 40-694, it came with a table.
Fab4
Hi Danny: All of my stands are made with 2x4's and have castors on them 2 locking wheels and 2 swivel Nothing fancy - screw the 2x4's together, add a piece of plywood, bolt your scroll saw to the plywood and voila - good to go - SCROLL SAW TABLE Table saw, planer, router, scroll saw, edge planer, a various wooden boxes for storage All on wheels I may expand these boxes and add drawers for more storage - WHY IS IT, WE NEVER HAVE ENOUGH STORAGE Makes clean up easy My scroll saw came with a stand so I bolted the stand onto a piece of plywood added castors and everything is "wheel it in and wheel it out" I have limited space so this works great for my situation Fab4
Scrappile
My favorite one I built using an old narrow kitchen cabinet someone was discarding. It has a drawer and cupboard storage under the saw, the cabinet is narrow enough I can straddle it. It has wheels for moving it around. Debi Shipman
My husband built me one. It's just 2x4's and plywood. It's very heavy and sturdy. No wheels because I didn't even think about it. It's 24"L x 22"W x 20"H. It's not very tall, but neither am I. lol I still need to either paint or seal it. Lucky2
Danny, building a scroll saw stand out of 2x4 lumber, cost about the same as buying a metal scroll saw stand. So, instead of building one out of wood, I bought a metal one and I don't regret it. Len Edited September 2, 2016 by Lucky2
Frank Pellow
I'm not certain what you mean by the term 'table'. Depending on what you mean, I might have built such a 'table'. I built an alternative larger table to fit onto my Excalibur 30 scroll saw in order to handle a large piece that I was cutting. I talk about and show this alternative table in the thread: http://www.scrollsawvillage.com/topic/17682-tap-dancing-in-the-rain-completed/?hl=dancing Edited September 2, 2016 by Frank Pellow

Danny :+} Danny I got a free table with my Dewalt 788 but it was to high for me to sit and work. I went to Harbor Freight and bought this one. Be sure and get a coupon on line if you go this route. http://www.harborfreight.com/universal-tool-stand-69805.html
MTCowpoke22
I built one out of 2X4's and plywood too. I set the height right for me so that I can either stand (for when I need to move around doing larger pieces) or sit on a bar stool (when I'm doing small stuff). I don't have wheels on it, but have thought about adding them. At the moment, it's set in a good spot, so I don't need to move it unless I'm cleaning, which doesn't happen enough... or actually, ever. Sparkey
I built a stand out of 1.5 inch angle iron. It's welded together. It's fairly heavy and very sturdy.
