Blade size

Hi all,

 

I have been looking at getting some more blades, alot of the ones that are sold seem to be 127mm but the ones that came with mine I believe are 133mm, will the 127mm blades fit or do I need to choose the same size?

 

I presume I have some leeway as you have to tension the blades.

I think the 127mm will be just fine. I have the Dewalt 788 saw and even a little shorter than 127mm would work. You could also measure by sticking a thin piece of cardboard in there and marking it then measuring it after you take it out. In reality I don't think you will have a problem.

I've wore out chinese saws so much i had to cut !/4" off the end of the blade so it would fit.

What brand of saw are you using, does it have an adjustable tension knob? Most saws can be adjusted for different length blades, can yours?
