scrollerpete Posted September 3, 2016 Report Posted September 3, 2016 Just have to finish the assembly (glue them all together) and apply a coat or 2 of clear finish and I'm done. Will not cut letters for at least another month (hate it) but this is a gift for auction of the Knights of Columbus golf tournament. Also this id my first and only one that I will cut. Lucky2 Posted September 3, 2016 Report Posted September 3, 2016 It looks great Pete, seeing as how it is the first and only one you will ever cut, is it a keeper or not? Len Quote
lonewolf Posted September 3, 2016 Report Posted September 3, 2016 That is beautiful, i know it's painstaking and all, but for the right price i would do more. Quote
Scrappile Posted September 3, 2016 Report Posted September 3, 2016 Peter, that is beautiful... Lot of work. Worth all your effort. Quote
Rob Posted September 3, 2016 Report Posted September 3, 2016 I know that is a lot of work but you must have got an almighty buzz from having finished it. It's great, well done. Rob newfie 1 Quote
heppnerguy Posted September 4, 2016 Report Posted September 4, 2016 Peter, I think you will be changing your mind about cutting another after you see the reaction of so many who see it. The ones that take a lot of ones time are the ones that make you proud of yourself and the ones that make the extra time so worth it. It came out beautiful and well worth all the time you put onto it. I would wager that I will see another posted by you once some time goes by and the paint goes away Dick Heppnerguy Quote

meflick Posted September 4, 2016 Report Posted September 4, 2016 Excellent work. As a newbie on the saw, I am amazed at the works of art like these that so many of you create. I tried some letters earlier this week - my admiration went up 100 fold for those who do these types of signs! I hope it goes for a lot of money at the auction. If I had spent all that time and effort cutting that, and it was the first one of its kind, I am not sure it would be going anywhere but on the wall of my home! Quote
scrollerpete Posted September 4, 2016 Author Report Posted September 4, 2016 Thanks for all the nice words but still not sure if I"ll ever attempt another one, it is very difficult to cut the lord's prayer and not be able to swear when it does not go right. I had to cut one phrase a second time because the last letter that I was cutting broke, had to bite my tongue real hard. LOL Phantom Scroller and Fab4 2 Quote
