Dan&Wendy Posted September 5, 2016 Report Posted September 5, 2016 Thank you for letting us join. We've been scrollsawing for about 3 or 4 years. We've learned alot but hope to learn alot more here. Thinking of trying Intarsia this fall. Our other hobbies are motorcycling around the US. We're going to Maine in a couple weeks to Acadia Park. We also do alot of shooting. We just started trap shooting this summer but shoot alot of rifles, pistols. When it starts getting cold we move indoors and start scrolling. Hope to learn and get more ideas here. lawson56 1 Quote

Scrappile Posted September 6, 2016 Report Posted September 6, 2016 Welcome, glad you are joining us. I went to the local shooting range this past week and did some shooting with my son. First time I has shoot a gun of any kind in over 13 years. Found out I am now officially a shaky old man. But it was fun and I am going to join the range. Dan&Wendy 1 Quote

meflick Posted September 6, 2016 Report Posted September 6, 2016 Welcome from another Tennessean. I'm a relative newbie to the saw and to the Village. Have found everyone here great and quite helpful with any questions. I started out with Intarsia. Trying to get a good grasp on that but doesn't keep me from seeing other things people are doing with their saws and wanting to try all of that too. Quote
heppnerguy Posted September 6, 2016 Report Posted September 6, 2016 Welcome to both of you. I hope you find the time to login often and then we can all get to know one another sooner. You will quickly find a lot of resources here that you are welcome to enjoy. I too hope you post some of your work and comments here. Have a great adventure on your ride to Maine Dick heppnerguy Quote

Janie Posted September 7, 2016 Report Posted September 7, 2016 Hi and welcome. Sounds like you two have lots of fun. We did some traveling on our bike too for awhile but haven't done that in years. I do the scrolling and my hubby does most of the strait cuts for frames etc. Love doing it. Look forward to some of your pics. Quote
Dan&Wendy Posted September 7, 2016 Author Report Posted September 7, 2016 Scrappile just keep practicing. The shakes go away. I like to shoot long range but don't get to do it often. I've hit a gong at 200 yards though with a 45 caliber 1911. Yep I'll brag about that one for a long time. LOL GrampaJim 1 Quote
