Delano, it's a beautiful cross, and you did a fantastic job cutting it out. One issue I have with it though, is that there's no finish in the negative spaces where the wood has been cut out. For pieces like this, I like to dip them in the finish so that the negative spaces are covered with finish. Not only does doing this make the project look better, but, it also helps with dust removal in the future.

True Len, but i don't have the space or material to dip it at the time.

Took me a while to figure out how to get this pic downloaded.  (Not the brightest bulb in the room).  I've done this a couple of times and have one at my

 

mom's grave.

Guess i need to get one of those cheap aluminum pans to soak those in len.

True Len, but i don't have the space or material to dip it at the time.

All I use to dip my projects in, is a large cookie sheet. I bought one just for this purpose, I lay the item in the cookie sheet and pour the finish over it. When finished, I strain the leftover finish back into it's container.
