lonewolf Posted September 17, 2016 Report Posted September 17, 2016 Took me a while to figure out how to get this pic downloaded. (Not the brightest bulb in the room). I've done this a couple of times and have one at my mom's grave. Be_O_Be, lawson56, New Guy and 4 others 7 Quote

Scrappile Posted September 17, 2016 Report Posted September 17, 2016 Very beautiful cross. Super scrolling. Quote
Lucky2 Posted September 17, 2016 Report Posted September 17, 2016 Delano, it's a beautiful cross, and you did a fantastic job cutting it out. One issue I have with it though, is that there's no finish in the negative spaces where the wood has been cut out. For pieces like this, I like to dip them in the finish so that the negative spaces are covered with finish. Not only does doing this make the project look better, but, it also helps with dust removal in the future. Len Quote

Lucky2 Posted September 18, 2016 Report Posted September 18, 2016 True Len, but i don't have the space or material to dip it at the time. All I use to dip my projects in, is a large cookie sheet. I bought one just for this purpose, I lay the item in the cookie sheet and pour the finish over it. When finished, I strain the leftover finish back into it's container. Len lonewolf 1 Quote
