Kris Martinson Posted September 22, 2016 Author Report Share Posted September 22, 2016 I decided to add some Hawaiian background to this picture, so the bird would be seen in its natural habitat. I got the background pattern from another photograph by Darcy Fiero. This is truly a collaboration between the photographer and myself. I have included her in the process of pattern making along the way. It's a great experience, and I hope it's the beginning of more collaborations like this to come. This updated version is pretty raw. You can see the darker area in the wood from where I used paint thinner to remove the pattern. Not yet dry.
