zimmerstutzen Posted September 21, 2016 Report Posted September 21, 2016 (edited) Just curious. I am the type that must study things a dozen times before actually attempting it. Some wooden kiddie puzzles that I see on line look as if the corners were rounded off by running them past an round over cutter on a router table. I have cut a dozen or so half inch pieces of elm, oak and cherry to use for stock. Rounding the edges slightly with a 3/16 or 5/32 ogee would seem to be a nice smooth edge for tots. Dan Posted September 21, 2016 Report Posted September 21, 2016 (edited) I do that with a 1/4" round-over bit. I also sand to 320-grit. This is just for the outer edges not the letters or inside shapes. The inside shapes I take to the sanding mop to take the edge off a bit. Edited September 21, 2016 by Dan Quote
