DWSUDEKUM Posted September 23, 2016 Report Posted September 23, 2016 Very nicely done Roly. Be aware that bamboo is a very abrasive wood. It has a lot of silicate in its matrix and will dull your blades faster than normal. Thanks for sharing this with us. Looking forward to the bowl. DW Phantom Scroller and Montserrat 2 Quote

Lucky2 Posted September 25, 2016 Report Posted September 25, 2016 Roly, it's a cute little cutting, what's it like to cut bamboo? Is it hard on blades, what type of blades do you use to cut it with? Len Quote

Len No 3 ultrareverse from here. http://www.scrollsawbladespatterns.com/ultra_reverse.htm It's a bit hard and will burn if you don't move quick enough but I haven't changed it yet after a few more cuttings later but you know when your struggling with the blade and it's time to change it. It's not that they are expensive I like to get the best from my blade and if it's not doing the job easy it has to go. Roly . Quote
