A grandma at the Farmers Market I met ordered trinket boxes for all (16) her Grand kids. The girls are a combination of cherry, maple and walnut. The boys are maple and walnut. I delivered them Friday and she ordered two more for freinds. Great order, but I was ready to have them done. The boxes measure 6" x 8" x 3" deep. dave

Dan, I charged $40 a piece for these. Do you think that I priced them right?  To answer your question on retired I would need to know your definition. My definition of retired is.......... likeing what you are doing and not feel trapped. I guess I have been retired most of my life.

I retired from my business in 2001. Then I turned my 40 year hobby of repairing clocks into full time. I'm still at it at almost 78 years old. I guess I don't need retirement especially when I love what I do. So good for you Dave.

Dave, your boxes are beautiful.  Your scrolling and inlay is flawless.  Now I understand the stack of boxes in your earlier post.  What a great present for that grandma to give her grandkids. 

 

$40 seems cheap to me for work of that quality but we all know how hard it is to charge for our work.
