rjR Posted September 28, 2016 Report Posted September 28, 2016 Made from scrap cedar, firewood and it appears to me to be redwood heart. Just laid-out on the board, drilled for blade insertion, then cut. No particular font, whatever the wood wanted when I started, is what it became. The bases are firewood; species unknown, but very hard. Lightly torched for grain enhancement, then a quick spray of polyurethane for a finish. Dollar Tree foam letters used for a scratch free base. These will be given to the grand-daughter.s friends that often play in the playground next door! lawson56, Lucky2, amazingkevin and 1 other 4 Quote
heppnerguy Posted September 28, 2016 Report Posted September 28, 2016 Those are great. Not only kids but adults too really like their names cut on wood. I am sure they were delighted to see them when they got them. Very nice thought and caring project here, Ralph Dick heppnerguy Quote
