JTTHECLOCKMAN
Well wildwood designs did it again. I can not find another clock insert. It is a 2-3/4" fire dept. insert. It is the one on the left. Anyone with any of these that want to sell let me know or if you know where I may buy some please let me know. It is getting frustrating. If i had known they were going to do away with many of the inserts I would have stock piled. Being away for 3 years really hurt my inventory. hawkeye10
You think if you called them and offered to buy a quantity of them they might special order them for you?
JTTHECLOCKMAN
I am sure it would have to be a huge order if the company in China still makes them. They have done away with many of their inserts when they merged with Cherry Tree. It is pretty frustrating. I ordered the blue flag insert the other day figuring I better get those before they go away. It turns out they changed the design that holds them in and depth of the insert. Now they do not even fit in 3/4" thick projects. This is forcing me to use basic inserts and not go with any theme ones.

dgman
Nice looking clocks JT! I have done some of those from a plan in Wood Magazine. I have scoured all the sites I know of that sell fit ups with no luck finding what you are looking for.
JTTHECLOCKMAN
Nice looking clocks JT! I have done some of those from a plan in Wood Magazine. As I went through my insert inventory I noticed that so many of the inserts were eliminated. Just about all the sports themed inserts are now gone. Here is another one of my big sellers and now I can not get the golf theme clock insert any more. It is really discouraging. If I had only known I would have cleaned their shelves for them. That is what happens when you step away for a few years. Maybe someone will bring them back again but i am not holding my breathe. Very disappointed. I am going to write to the President of Wildwood/Cherry Tree and see what their intentions are?? hawkeye10
Is there a computer program that will let you make your own clock faces? Maybe something like Sketch/Up. What about getting someone to paint a clock face? Once you get one clock face you can make as many copies as you need. I know some clock faces are mane of paper. I am just throwing ideas out there. You can not take the inserts apart. They glued the gold ring and it will break. It used to screw off and I did what you talked about before. The more expensive top quality inserts are not the same design and won't work. These are or I should say were made on all the same platform and the faces were interchangable. But a few years ago they started gluing the rings and now they even changed the whole body of the clock. I ordered some of the blue flag 2-3/4" inserts thinking they would too be going away. But it turns out these are the new style and will be very difficult to use in my projects because they would require a thickness greater than 3/4" to hide the back. WayneMahler
JT nice work. Love the way they look. Have you tried Klock-it ? They sell a bunch of clock inserts at reasonable prices. Not sure if they have what you want but worth the look at the website.
