Denny Knappen Posted October 11, 2016 Report Posted October 11, 2016 The pattern is by Jacob Fowler and found in CWWC November 2012. I used a piece of Ash with very nice grain for the upright and Aspen for the base. It is approximately 9" high and 11" long. I used FD UR #1 for all interior cuts. The finish is 50% BLO and two coats of spray Shellac. Comments welcome. Falcon, frankorona and leshko 3 Quote

Denny Knappen Posted October 12, 2016 Author Report Posted October 12, 2016 Thanks for all the nice comments. I wasn't sure about the Ash, but when I applied the 50% BLO, the grain really popped with great color. Quote
Iguanadon Posted October 12, 2016 Report Posted October 12, 2016 Very very nice. I look at beautiful pieces like that and say to myself "I don't have the patience for that." And it's a shame since I like them so much. Thanks for sharing. Quote

Denny Knappen Posted October 12, 2016 Author Report Posted October 12, 2016 You can do it, Don. It is not patience when it is something you enjoy. Thanks again, Melanie. Quote
