Popular Post Fish
I saw a recent post on cutting a record. It was a Beatles image also so I had to try it. The pattern was done by Trip here in SSV. Edited October 12, 2016 by Fish leshko, frankorona, penquin and 7 others
Dave Monk
I totally love it. Was it tough to cut? What blade did you use? Did you put it on top of wood? dave Edited October 12, 2016 by Dave Monk Fish

Fish
I used a #1 skip tooth to cut it. I found going very slow doesn't work. I sped up to about 7 and had no problems. I just cut it on the saw like I do everything else. A few times it was a little jumpy and had to be careful but it came out alright, maybe doing it on a piece of wood will be better-good idea. I got the record from a co-worker it wasn't a Beatles album. If I can get some other records I'm going to try Abbey Road and a few others. There are no special colors added I used a piece of copy paper to set under it the rest I guess is just shadow, I had set it on my desk in the kitchen. I did have to be careful turning corners too but stayed on the scrap side and it came out better. The other color may also be the center, my daughter painted it black for me it was blue. penquin
That is awesome, really like the pattern selected and the way it looks on the record. Well done, thanks for sharing it with us and giving us the info on how you did it. A while back I traded a guy a cutting for about 400 LP's in had he was not doing anything with. Still got most of them. Finally a use. jim penquin Fish and amazingkevin
JTTHECLOCKMAN
That did come out really well. Good to hear from someone who has tried it. Eventually I am going to give this a try. Thanks for showing. Fish

Birchbark
I'm thinking you could print any label you wanted and stick over the old label. Its not like anyone is going to play it and know the difference. You might get yelled at for destroying a beatles album tho. Russell
