Ship wheel trivet

I have to say I don't think I've seen a ship wheel trivet. Anyway I made this design this morning and cut it shortly there after. It's made from a piece of scrap birch ply I had laying around. Thanks for looking Jerry

I was thinking of wording or a design cut in the space around the wheel. But then the size of trivet may be too small.

Nice idea! Have you considered doing some 3-D shaping, rounding the spokes so they look like a real ships wheel?
