I really like buying from Mike's. They ship quick and the blades come packed well unlike WTB. Of coarse that may have been a one time thing.

 

I bought a variety of FD spiral blades. The "New Spiral" blades have teeth on both sides and cut smoother than others. I think spirals have there place.

Mike's is owned by WTB. That is if WTB stands for Wooden Teddy Bear.

Mike sold his business including the exclusive rights to distribute Flying Dutchman blades in the US and Canada to the WTB back about 18 months ago. Mike passed away earlier this year. RIP. So if you order from Mike's old website or the WTB website they are all packaged and shipped from the same location. I have ordered blades a couple times since the take over and I have had great service with each transaction.

Even though they are one and the same, I always use Mikes site because of the 3.00 flat rate shipping for the blades !....The times that i have purchased from the WTB the freight has been more......Maybe this has changed ?!?........just my two cents.
