MrsN Posted November 1, 2016 Report Share Posted November 1, 2016 I have painted using acrylic paint, or a wash of paint diluted with water, or a wash of paint with a staining medium. I have dyed projects using food coloring. Mix a fairly strong colored water solution and dip the project in. Others have used RIT Dyes for stronger colors. Spray paint is easy if you just need a single color. Glitter spray paint is great to get some bling on your project. I really like the acrylic paints as they are available in a huge variety of colors. You can thin them for a stain. Also easy to mix a little of different colors to get a special color.
