Blade choice for 6mm ply

hi

i recently bought a couple of Harley patterns from Sue Mey , and i want to cut they out using 6mm ply. Now i usually do my cutting on 1/2 inch Oak, Iroko, spalted beech or Maple so i am not used to cutting thin stuff, what baldes do you recommend and do you advise cutting 2 pieces together.

My go-to blade is the Flying Dutchman #3 Scroll Reverse. You get plenty of control, while still being able to cut intricate details.

Thanks Travis, will give it a go as i have FD blades.

I'm with Travis. I use the FD reverse in either #3 or #5. You will find that it is easier to cut when stacked and will give you more control. I usually try to keep my stack around 3/4" overall.

i have taken on board what you have said and will stack them up when cutting, actually i preferred to do this as i am used to cutting thicker stuff.
