I needed a special project to help celebrate my parents 50th anniversary, and found this on scroller.com.  It is made with red oak, Peruvian walnut, and poplar.  It was a great project to work on and recall time spent with my folks.

Another clock person,a person that makes clocks can't be all bad, lol. This one will make you coo coo for cooo puffs, lol This will be cherished forever

Thank you all for your kind words, my folks were very happy to get it.  Then my dad asked if the coo coo was supposed to have any significance. I guess anybody married for 50 years has to be a little coo coo.

Wow, what a beautiful clock, your parents are sure to like it. Here's an idea if you ever find yourself making another one, instead of having a bird in the pendulum you could put numbers. Like for this one, you could have put the number fifty in the pendulum.

My wife and I have been married 53 years and we aren't real coo coo! a bit tetched perhaps. Oh did I mention the long part?  :D

The gift is beautiful and I am sure very much appreciated.
