JimC
Hi. My name is Jim and I live in North Carolina. I got my saw about 12 years ago but have not touched it for several years now, just too busy. Now I am retired and am ready to get back into it but will be starting as a beginner again. Will probably have many questions. Falcon

Bpardue
Thanks for the welcome to all of you. Brian, I used to live in Winston many, many years ago. Now I am in Greensboro. Jim, You may want to come to the Klingspor Woodworking store in Winston. The Carolina Scrollers Association meets there the second Monday of every month at 6pm except for December this year. We will be meeting again in January. We also demo every Wednesday from 9:30 till around noon. This has also come to be an unofficial meeting. Normally several of the members show up and talk shop with each other and customers. We have a mentors program with several of us opening our shops up to members. There is a wide range of experience in the club from beginners to advanced and from Fret work to intarsia and everything in between. I will be there tomorrow sense I'm on Vacation. JimC
Brian, Thank you very much for the invitation and I sure may take you up on it. I saw the story on your club and the Christmas tree project in the Scroll Saw magazine...nice write up. I was also glad to hear about Klingspor since the only woodworking store in Greensboro (Woodcraft) closed up shop and moved away. I definitely need to get over there and check that out. Thanks again and I will probably see you next year. Jim

Hi Scott and thanks for the welcome. I have been in NC since the 60's, off and on, but I am not familiar with Littleton, NC. I'll have to check it out on Google Maps.
