shoptime
Hello all, I'm in the process of tuning up a scroll saw I've had for 10+ years but never really used it. Got the itch now and thought I would hang around here and learn all I can. Thanks, Sean Falcon, lawson56 and amazingkevin
heppnerguy
Sean, The people here are extremelyfriendly, helpful and encouraging. So all you have to do is come back often and get to know everyone. There are a lot of things you can learn here and leave yourself open to asking for any help about anything you may not know that answer to when it comes to scrolling. What kind of saw do you have? The correct blade to use for the wood you are cutting makes all the difference in the success of your projects. In case you may not be aware of which blades to use, the first thing one needs to learn is ......don't buy your blades at the bid box stores because they simply do not sell what you need. Lots of patterns you can download for free to cut, here. Keep in contact and respond to others posts and quickly you will feel right at home here Dick heppnerguy

shoptime
Thank you for the warm welcome! My starter saw is a Dremel 1680 which I'm cleaning and tuning right now. It is almost like new as it's seen very little use.
JimC
Sean, You story and mine are almost identical right down to the saw we are both tuning up (Dremel 1680). I've been inactive for about 12 years before the itch returned. Anyway, welcome to this warm and helpful group. You will find all you need here.
