ScollSaw Slasher Posted November 24, 2016 Report Posted November 24, 2016 My name is Blake and I've been scrolling for about 6 years. It is such a fascinating hobby because of the bazillion different things that can be achieved. Have done a lot of Steve Good patterns from baskets, boxes and word art for gifts. Currently doing some complicated fretwork clocks as well as getting my feet wet on intarsia. Enclosed are a couple of pics of my 1st intarsia (Kathy Wise pattern) and a earlier Steve Good clock pattern. Hope to gain more knowledge from this site. As in anything, knowledge and practice are kings! lawson56 1 Quote
wombatie Posted November 25, 2016 Report Posted November 25, 2016 Welcome to the Village Blake. I'm Marg from Australia. Love the Intarsia cat, it beautiful. You are right about one thing, scrolling is 85% practice, practice, practice. But most of all enjoying what you are doing. Marg Quote
LarryEA Posted November 25, 2016 Report Posted November 25, 2016 First is a Big Welcome to the Village. I completely agree with you that the scrollsaw offers more things to do than I could ever achieve, not counting 'master' also. That is fine talent in the Kitty and nice scrolling on the clock. Quote

ScollSaw Slasher Posted December 2, 2016 Author Report Posted December 2, 2016 Many thanks to all for the warm welcome and the compliments on my work. Like many of us, I'm my own worse critic, always seeking perfection in a imperfect world. It so far has been fascinating going through some of the posts and seeing some of the exquisite work being achieved by a group of talented individuals. I already have a wish list of future endeavors as well as future equipment to make my scrolling even better. OOPs!, there goes the Christmas fund. So, let's get cutting. Blake Quote
