NC Scroller
Any will do. Even Walmart sells them: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Aqua-Culture-5-15-Gallon-Single-Outlet-Aquarium-Air-Pump/44662572 Scrolling Steve
Jim Finn
I considered using one of these pumps so I went to the pet department at PetSmart and found many different ones there. I had the sales person run the biggest one for me and it only gave out a whisper of air. Not enough at all. I then got an $8 hair dryer and mounted it to blow cool air on my saw blade and it has worked well now for well over a year. hawkeye10 and amazingkevin

I hate the sound of hair dryers, so much so, that I leave the house when one is being used here. Even if I didn't mind the sound so much, I still don't think I would like the extra noise while sawing. Len
Lucky2
Don, the last one I bought, I bought it at a second hand store. I only paid five dollars for it, and it blew more then enough air to remove the dust. Len
Jim Finn
Yes a hair dryer does make noise but no more than my shop vac did. Lucky2
Sam777
I am sure a hair dryer blows out more than enough for a scroll saw but where does that dust go? Sam
JTTHECLOCKMAN
In the air. any time you blow dust no matter what device you are using, unless you have a vac hooked up then it gets blown in the air. It is of course better if it blows away from you but wearing a dust mask is still a good idea. tonylumps and fd_cox 1
munzieb
When I had my Craftsman Saw, I went to Walmart and bought a aquarium bubbler pump. It had 2 ports and got a "Y" connector at Lowes. Actually tie strapped it to the saw and I bought an articulating nozzle from sears parts for a later model scroll saw.
